Sandy Armstad - 34 Years in the Classroom

This episode was a product of a small conversation I had at a random campsite in Montana. That one conversation led me to Sandy Armstad, a retired teacher who spent 34 years teaching in a small town in rural Montana. While sitting in a quaint library in Missoula, Sandy reflects on her career and shares the joys and challenges she found in teaching, how she worked five jobs to support her three children, and tells us what she really thinks of all the fancy, new acronyms that keep surfacing in educational trends.
